Dr Meslime Grim
Mes is a HCPC-registered Practitioner Health Psychologist with over 16 years of experience
helping people improve their mental and physical wellbeing. She has worked extensively
within NHS specialist community services, private and third sector, supporting individuals
facing a wide range of challenges, including overweight and obesity, emotional and binge
eating, negative self-image, long-term physical health conditions, addiction, stress, anxiety,
and lifestyle comorbidities.
Mes understands that many of the challenges people face with their health and wellbeing develop for understandable reasons and are often shaped by life experiences, relationships, habits, and circumstances. Life's difficulties can sometimes leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the person we want to be.
Whether you are adjusting to a chronic health condition, navigating stress, struggling with food and weight, overcoming addiction, or looking to improve your confidence and wellbeing, Mes provides a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel understood and supported. Rather than focusing on blame or self-criticism, she works collaboratively with clients to understand the patterns that may be keeping them stuck and to develop greater insight, self-compassion, and resilience.
Her evidence-based therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and formulation-driven. Mes draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness, and behaviour change techniques. She believes each person is unique and tailors therapy to their individual needs, goals, and experiences, helping clients achieve meaningful, lasting change that guides them towards a healthier, more fulfilling, and values-aligned life.
Alongside her clinical work, Mes has extensive experience in leadership, training, supervision, and service development within NHS services. She is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care and supporting individuals to improve their health, wellbeing, and quality of life.
